Love bites

What a tender moment for my sweet boys. This was almost one year ago and I CAN NOT believe how the time has flown! A few days ago Clayton attempted his first steps and instead of cheering him on I broke down and cried. My baby is growing up. And my first baby, well, he never was small was he?

Kyle is a tender and sweet big brother who comes to Clayton's defense in a moment. The other day we brought a friend of his home after Mother's Day Out and they were sitting all in a row in the back seat. "Don't hurt my brother," Kyle said even though the little boy hadn't even realized he was sitting next to a baby.

He loves to entertain him with baby toys and run to make him smile whenever he cries. But then again, let's not mistake this boy for any angel...Just a few days ago I had the boys locked and loaded, ready to go on the mission of the day. Target, I feel sure. I forgot something inside and ran in for just a few seconds. Upon my return, Clayton was crying. I asked Kyle what happened. "Nothing." "Kyle, did you hurt your brother?" "No," he said. "Are you lying Kyle?" (yes, we have begun the lying stage already) "Yes." "What happened?" "I bit him." I looked over to find not one, not two, but 3 separate sets of teeth marks on Clayton's arm, leg, and hand. Poor guy! No doubt this one is going to have to grow up tough. And indeed grow up is what they do. Too fast if you ask me.
