Looking for small baby model preferably from Rwanda~

So let's face it, I'm inspired.  Nothing this little girl can't put me through that I won't endure.  Don't get me wrong, I know I voluntarily succumbed to this tortuous task, but would I ever do it to myself again?  Absolutely~  And to be honest, I ended up enjoying it.  That is the 1/3 of the time that I was not making mistakes. Like the ribbon at the top?  That was a mistake.  No way her head was fitting through that hole with out a button or zipper which I was clearly not confident enough to attempt.  Therefore, ribbon seemed to be the only viable solution.  And the ruffle?  That would be an "oops I think this is too short because I didn't use a pattern" mistake.  The bloomers, well, we'll just say elastic is not my friend.  All in all though, I'm pretty excited about the outcome and hopeful that the next time will be easier than the first.

The room is coming along too.  Pictures of that to come.  And speaking of pictures...we're just WAITING patiently for the day that we get our baby's picture too. Can't you just imagine the cutest little baby Rwandan girl modeling this little ditty?  Oh I just can't stand it!

  1. Hi Laura,

I've been following your blog for a little while now. My husband and myself are waiting for our acceptance letter (we are #100 on the list) from Rwanda right now. Most excellent job on the dress. It adorable! It gets easier with practice. I've been inspired this week myself to tackle the sewing machine and have been working on a Mei Tai baby carrier.
