Shocked & Surprised

So I've not known what to say.  Almost as soon as I posted my last entry, we got word from our POA that our letter of approval was on it's way.  Truly, my mind and heart could not take this in.  We are further down on the list than so many who had not yet heard.  This was not possible.  Also, I had not seen anything from the blogs that I follow.  What was going on?  Well, I'm not sure I know the answer to these questions, but I do know that we have an official approval and I am still stunned.  True excitement has begun to fill my heart and images of a little girl with fuzzy curls fill my mind.  I've even ordered some special hair and skin products.  

In the meantime, I'm doing a little nesting.  Let's face it.  That's actually been going on for a while now.  I've been cleaning out closests, throwing away junk, taking stuff to Good Will, and making mental lists of all of my "to do's".

The nursery is very much a work in progress.  I decided to spray paint the crib and it's taking me MUCH longer than I'd imagined.  The bedding has been ordered and well, that's about it.

 So there is some transforming to do.  Guess I'll take down the "Boy: noise with dirt on it" and try to make something pretty from that old frame.  I'm thinking white spray paint and putting a mirror in it.  The only thing I have in hand is the lamp and drawer pulls.  Wow!  Lot's to do.  And paint!!!

So for now, we are resting (and nesting) in the joy that an approval brings.  We are very uncertain of the timing of what lies ahead, but are simply enjoying the moment we are in.
